The Vinha Paz wines, whose name comes from the producer’s mother, are produced in the demarcated region of Dão. The estate covers about 10.5 hectares of vines, of which 7.5 hectares are old vines. The wines are made by António Canto Moniz from grapes grown in the Leira da Tremoa area, which are processed using the traditional foot‑pounding method. After vinification and the necessary aging stages, the wines are bottled in the Casa da Carreira Alta cellar in Oliveira de Barreiros. (Illustrative image)
