This Marlborough Pinot Noir seems to have been subjected to some serious pampering – five days of chilling the batches, daily “must immersion”… it’s almost as if the wine is being trained to achieve peak flavour. The producer's persistent use of French oak, both new and old, clearly aims for complexity, while retaining that signature Pinot Noir elegance. Definitely a wine best enjoyed with something light, perhaps wild salmon or earthy mushrooms.
