This Scala Coeli Reserva, a rather bold experiment with Cabernet Sauvignon in a region already known for its traditional grapes, certainly seems to have taken a little nap. Harvested on August 27th, 2019, the grapes spent 15 months aging in new French oak barrels, lending it a welcome complexity. Further refinement in the bottle has smoothed out the edges and added a touch of elegance – perfect with a hearty beef roast, wouldn’t you agree?
