This Tapada de Villar is a delightfully unexpected treat. The blend of Trincadeira, Aragonez, and Antão Vaz initially hinted at something bolder, but the four-month aging in oak has gifted it with a remarkable elegance – imagine fresh red fruit, very much reminiscent of Alentejo’s bounty. It’s a long, polished wine, almost stage-worthy, and would pair beautifully with a good cigar and some aged cheeses.
