This Terras do Pó is clearly a wine that’s had a serious chat with Syrah and Touriga Nacional – you can taste it in the complexity. Expect a deep ruby colour and aromas of ripe red fruits, reminiscent of that impressive “15 points” rating. There’s a subtle vanilla note from the oak ageing, which surprisingly adds a touch of elegance. It’s a lingering finish, and frankly, a match with a perfectly grilled steak and a rich red wine reduction sauce feels like a pairing Casa Ermelinda Freitas might have envisioned.
