**Quinta do Crasto Tinta Roriz** The Quinta do Crasto Tinta Roriz is a premium wine made entirely from Tinta Roriz grapes. It is bottled only in years when the grape reaches a high level of quality and excellence and fully expresses its true potential. Over the years, Quinta do Crasto has identified three ideal Tinta Roriz vineyard plots with three different sun exposures (east, east-south, and west-north), all at the same altitude. The soil is poor at the surface but has a clay layer at a depth of about 1.5 metres that retains winter rainwater, providing the water conditions needed for the vine to perform excellently. The 2018 harvest produced excellence in freshness and balance in the white wines, red wines with excellent concentration, structure, freshness, and aromatic definition, and Port wines with excellent ageing potential. **Winemaking:** The grapes, sourced from the finest Tinta Roriz plots at Quinta do Crasto, were transported in 22 kg crates and subjected to rigorous sorting on arrival at the winery. After complete destemming and light crushing, the must was transferred to temperature-controlled stainless steel fermentation tanks.
