This “Torero” – a suitably dramatic name – is a seriously patient Alentejo. Built on a foundation of Aragonez, Trincadeira and Alicante Bouschet, it’s got plenty of backbone, but those three years in used barrels, followed by a further four in bottle, have undeniably smoothed things out. Remarkably vibrant, it’s a wine with serious aging potential – perfect with a hearty, spiced roast.
