This Tourião, boosted with a touch of Semillon, certainly isn't messing around. That initial burst of tropical fruit and floral notes is still there, but it’s held back from becoming overly sweet – surprisingly dry and with a wonderfully vibrant acidity, almost a little assertive, I must admit. It’s a wine rooted in the Douro, and with a touch of elegance that begs for a perfectly grilled white fish, perhaps with a little gazpacho to tame the intensity.
