“This Douro wine, nurtured by a vineyard aged 60 years, is a beautiful demonstration of patience and a deep respect for the land – and it certainly delivers. Blended with around 30 indigenous grape varieties and grown at an elevation of 300-350 metres, it offers a wonderfully complex and elegant aromatic profile, largely thanks to the prominent Touriga Franca and Tinta Roriz. Following 17 months aging in 10% new French oak barrels, the result is a medium-bodied red with a firm, yet beautifully integrated tannin structure; a perfect match for rich game or cured meats – truly capturing the soulful essence of the Douro.”
