Unculín is a villa wine made mainly from Mencía grapes sourced from several micro-plots in Valtuille de Abajo, with vines between 60 and 100 years old, farmed using organic methods with minimal intervention. After fermentation, partly with the stems and with the rest of the grapes left whole (uncrushed), followed by a brief aging in tanks, José Antonio García produces a red with aromas of red fruit, highly floral notes, spicy and meaty nuances, and good acidity on the palate.
