Vall da Nogueirinha Touriga Nacional Reserva red is a Douro wine made exclusively from Touriga Nacional, sourced from vineyards planted in schist soils of the Upper Douro. Controlled extraction during vinification seeks to preserve the varietal character, followed by ageing in wood that lends structure and aromatic complexity. On the nose, notes of violet stand out, enveloped by ripe black fruit, bergamot, and subtle hints of spice and cocoa. On the palate, it is structured and balanced, with polished tannins, fresh acidity, and a long, elegant finish. Powerful Douro is a project by Marco Almeida Correia, established in the Douro, which produces its wines based on traditional Douro blends. The Douro region is one of the most beautiful and historic in Portugal. Located in the northeast of the country, it is watered by the Douro River, which winds through deep, steep-sided valleys.
