Produced exclusively from the Moscatel Galego grape, this wine aged for about three months in stainless‑steel tanks. Its aroma is very subtle, dominated by floral notes of roses and peppermint. On the palate it is delicate, with floral nuances and a very fresh finish. Unlike classic Moscatel wines, it is dry, making it an ideal aperitif. Quinta do Vallado is one of the most prestigious estates in the Douro, once owned by D. Antónia Adelaide Ferreira (the “Ferreirinha”) and still today held by her descendants. The Vallado wines were unjustly forgotten but have now naturally regained their lost time. They are wines of great historical importance to the Douro, deserving of the highest accolades. Founded in 1716, Quinta do Vallado is one of the oldest estates in the region, situated near Régua on the banks of the Rio Corgo. Its destiny is entrusted to João Alves Ribeiro and Francisco Ferreira, both descendants of the Ferreirinha, who oversee the business management and the enology, respectively.
