Born in the heart of the Cachapoal Valley, this Vik is a truly remarkable wine. The granite-rich soil delivers a wonderfully crisp mineral structure, echoing the very stones of Chile. Subtle oceanic influence moderates the temperatures, and a generous 26 months ageing in French oak lends warming notes of spice and vanilla. James Suckling certainly agreed, awarding it a well-deserved 99 points – an excellent match for a succulent duck or a hearty beef.
