Vinha da Urze is situated on the slopes of the Ribeira de Aguiar, opposite the cliffs that house an ancient Roman quarry and still serve as a nesting site for the golden eagle. The Urze estate, the headquarters of the agricultural operation covering nearby properties, spans a total of 190 ha, all on loamy soils with similar characteristics. The vineyards sit at an average altitude of 320 m and their easterly exposure shields them from the region’s climatic extremes, allowing the cultivation of grapes that yield aromatic, fresh and elegant wines.
