This VZ from the Douro is a wine that clearly prefers a relaxed pace. Initially aged in stainless steel under the watchful eye of D. Maria and Quinta de Santa Júlia, it then spent 17 months in French oak barrels, lending it a welcome touch of softness. The blend of Touriga Nacional (Tinta Barroca), Aragonez, Sousão and Rufete promises a considered complexity – ideally enjoyed with a hearty beef roast.
