This Crasto, hailing from Quinta do Crasto in the Douro Superior, is undeniably a wine rooted in tradition. The grapes, meticulously selected by plot and transported in plastic boxes – a detail hinting at a thoughtful approach – burst with freshness and vibrancy. Fermented in stainless steel, it showcases the purity of the key grapes: Touriga Nacional, Aragonez, Syrah, and a daring addition of Viognier. The 16-month aging in French oak has smoothed the tannins, resulting in a remarkably refined texture and a truly enjoyable balance, as confirmed by its impressive 88 points in *Revista de Vinhos*.
