“This Dalva Reserva, hailing from the Douro, seems to have taken a slight fancy to Malvasia Fina and Códega, resulting in a white that’s admittedly a touch sweet. The mouthfeel is wonderfully smooth, almost silken – perhaps enhanced by its ageing in oak. Remarkably, despite this indulgence, the finish retains a refreshing vibrancy, suggesting a lingering life that pairs beautifully with dried fruits or a creamy sheep’s cheese.”
