The Inóspito Touriga Nacional red wine comes from a blend of two distinct parcels: one in the Cima Corgo sub‑region, between Quinta da Senhora da Ribeira and Quinta dos Canais, at an altitude of 100–200 metres, and another in the Douro Superior, in Escalhão, at 500 metres. Faithful to tradition, this wine is floral, fresh, complex and structured, without tartaric correction. The spontaneous fermentation uses indigenous yeasts, and the wine ages for 18 months in new and used French oak barrels (Bertrange forest). Inóspito is the pure expression of each parcel, reflecting the minerality, acidity and freshness of each micro‑terroir, creating a unique wine without any artificial enhancement. Geographic Wines is a project by Daniela Matias and Nuno Morais Vaz that seeks to produce wines that reveal the genuine characteristics of the varieties and the terroirs from which they arise.
