This Kranemann 10 Year Tawny seems to have taken a slightly over-ambitious journey for a Douro wine. Despite boasting a “lively and attractive” tawny colour, the intensely fresh aroma hints at a perhaps slightly premature maturation. Nevertheless, the palate reveals an incredibly smooth texture, and a balance that earned Robert Parker an impressive 87 points, noting it “maintained its volume.” A pleasant experience, particularly paired with aged cheeses and nuts.
