Produced in exceptional years, the Bluníssima comes from a 40‑year‑old vineyard and is the result of the care and detail of its producer. Made from the Aragonês grape, it spent 13 months in French and American oak barrels and then 6 months in stainless‑steel tanks before bottling. Thus this red wine presents a deep ruby colour, aromas of ripe red fruit, forest, subtle menthol and hints of leather. The wood notes, well integrated from its ageing, bring sweet and smoked spices, all anchored on a limestone base. On the palate it is seductive and refined, with a captivating body and freshness, robust yet delicate tannins. The finish is enveloping and long, with great bottle‑age potential. Monte Bluna begins its journey in the wine sector, originating from the Lisbon region, when it acquires a small plot of vineyard around 40 years old. The 6 hectares at altitude, bordered by the Atlantic and the Tagus, are now explored to create wines that express a unique and harmonious character, in total balance with the environment.
