Quinta Da Vacaria Reserva Branco

Descrição

The Quinta da Vacaria Reserva white is an elegant wine with a lemon-yellow colour, crafted from a blend of the Arinto, Viosinho and Rabigato grape varieties, revealing freshness and complexity. On the nose, aromas of exotic fruits emerge, harmoniously balanced with notes of vanilla and wood, very well integrated. On the palate it is full-bodied, with lively acidity and a long finish. Quinta da Vacaria, one of the oldest estates in the region (its first record dates from 1616), lies on the banks of the Douro River next to the town of Régua, in the heart of the oldest Demarcated Region in the world, the Douro. At the estate's quay, the Rabelo boats would moor to load the casks filled with Port wine and transport them to Gaia, at the river mouth, where they were sold in bulk to the whole world, leaving behind their hidden identity, since these wooden casks were not even marked with the producer's seal. Upon arrival at their destination, the wine was bottled and labelled with the brand of the foreign merchants who purchased it, some of which, in time, came to enjoy considerable prestige.
