The Quinta de San Michel Malvasia de Colares Brut Sparkling Wine is a blanc de blancs produced exclusively from the Malvasia de Colares grape variety, reflecting the uniqueness of its clay-limestone soils and the temperate Mediterranean climate, strongly influenced by the proximity of the Atlantic. After four months of ageing in used French oak barrels, it spent 20 months on its lees, giving it greater complexity and texture. On the nose, the Quinta de San Michel Malvasia de Colares Brut reveals a delicate, fresh character, with citrus aromas of lemon and green apple, herbal nuances of mint and spearmint, and a subtle autolytic character with elegant notes of toast and brioche. On the palate, it stands out for its elegance and fine bubbles, showing flavours of lemon, green apple and apricot, complemented by notes of smoke and brioche from prolonged contact with the lees. The finish is long and marked by vibrant acidity, ensuring freshness and longevity. Quinta de San Michel, located in Janas, in the municipality of Sintra, is an estate distinguished by the quality of its wines, which reflect the unique identity of the Colares region.
