Quinta do Paral Vinho Reserva, an international‑profile wine with excellent ageing potential. **Designation** Alentejo Regional Wine **Region** Vidigueira, Alentejo, Portugal **Viticulture** The grapes come from a 30‑hectare vineyard planted on granitic and xistoso soils with a sandy‑loamy texture. The vines are trained in a single‑cordon system, yielding an average of 6 tonnes per hectare. **Harvest** Manual. **Vinification** Alicante Bouschet (40 %), Cabernet Sauvignon (40 %), Malbec (10 %) and Marselan (10 %). After meticulous hand‑selection, the grapes were destemmed and fermented in tanks with mechanical crushing for 12 days at controlled temperatures between 24 °C and 28 °C. **Maturation** The wine matured for 24 months in French oak barrels (70 %) and American oak (30 %).
