Located in Alenquer, in the heart of Lisbon’s wine region, Quinta do Anjo spans more than 120 hectares, encompassing a 17th‑century estate adjacent to a traditional stone cellar. Legend says that two centuries ago, the wine produced here was so distinguished in the region that it was worth many Pintos, the gold coin circulating during the reign of King João V. Adding to this curiosity, the charismatic proprietor of the estate—whose nickname was Pinto—passed on the property, and it thereafter became known as Quinta do Pinto, a nickname that happens to be shared by the current owners. The Pinto family’s passion for wine and their five‑generation connection to the land have been the foundations for the enthusiasm and dedication of the whole family to this project.
