The Quinta dos Murças, located in the heart of the Douro Denomination of Origin, is defined by eight distinct terroirs shaped by the mountains, varying altitudes and sun exposures, alluvial soils, and the characteristic climate of the Douro River valley. In the vineyards, dozens of native grape varieties have been planted under Organic and Integrated Production systems. Olive trees, orange trees, almond trees, and Mediterranean scrub help maintain the ecosystem balance. The company Esporão was born in Alentejo from an unwavering desire to produce the finest wines.
