The grapes that give rise to the Teixuga Red come from old vines aged between 50 and 70 years, planted on granite soil. Predominantly made from Touriga Nacional, it ages 40 months in a combination of new and used French oak barrels, followed by 18 months in bottle. The wine displays a deep, intense red colour and a complex aromatic profile. On the palate it is very balanced, with an elegant, long-lasting finish. Caminhos Cruzados was born from the initiative and desire of Paulo Santos, a native of Nelas, who, determined to return to his roots and invest in the wine world, decided to transform an old agricultural business into a modern wine producer and bottler. The company’s philosophy is based on producing quality wines that blend tradition with modernity and constant differentiation demanded by the market. Their wines are made from own‑grown grapes and from selected producers renowned for the quality and excellence of their varieties, all from the Dão region. (Illustrative image only)
