Old wine bottles may show traces of dust and damaged labels, which is consistent with their age. The National Cellar commits to store all wines at the correct temperature and humidity, but always chooses to preserve the visual appearance inherent to their age. We carry out a selection of brands/regions that, normally, reveal distinct characteristics in tastings of old wines. However, we inform you that wine is a living organism exposed to time, and even within a bottle, aromas are subject to different evolutions. Thus, the National Cellar cannot be held responsible for the product's quality, as it is an old wine. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and let the wine breathe beforehand, as this will help release its natural aromas after so many years closed. If you choose to decant the wine before serving, be sure to do it patiently to detect the appearance of sediment, which a typical old wine tends to produce. (Illustrative image only)
