“This Vale da Veiga Reserva is a testament to the rewards of dedication – a truly patient wine. Harvested selectively between the 12th and 17th of September, it comes from vines with a long and storied history in the Douro Valley, likely harboring a few secrets of their own. The result is a wine matured for 12 months in French oak, which beautifully complements the robust character of the Touriga Nacional and Vinhas Velhas. It would pair wonderfully with a hearty black pork roast to tame its intensity.”
