Quinta do Crasto Since its first vintage in 1998, Quinta do Crasto Vinha Maria Teresa has earned its place among Portugal's great wines, receiving the highest recognition from the national and international press over the years. Made exclusively from Vinha Maria Teresa, the century-old vineyard that gives it its name and one of the oldest on Quinta do Crasto, planted at extremely low altitudes with excellent sun exposure, this "single-vineyard" wine is a super premium Douro DOC red that is bottled only in years of exceptional quality and always in very limited quantities. Despite the low yields of an old vineyard, the Quinta do Crasto winemaking team achieves remarkably high levels of concentration from the grapes of this vineyard, resulting in a world-class wine that is highly complex and full of character, with the ability to age gracefully in bottle for many years. Quinta do Crasto Vinha Maria Teresa was produced only in 1998, 2001, 2003, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2009, 2011 and 2013, with the largest number of bottles produced in 2007, at 8,001. For many enthusiasts, Quinta do Crasto Vinha Maria Teresa is one of the great and most emblematic wines of the Douro, and tasting one of its vintages is considered a true privilege.
