This Moscatel Galego from Rui Roboredo is a delightfully understated revelation. Employing a remarkably restrained approach – whole-cluster pressing, natural fermentation, and meticulously controlled temperatures between 16-18°C – truly unlocks the raw potential of the grape, resulting in a subtly eccentric wine. The Douro’s terroir clearly plays a part in lending it a distinctive character. Absolutely brilliant with grilled fish or sheep’s cheese.
