This wine clearly spent some time chatting with the earth – a true testament to the Dão region. Crafted using granite lagars and with the soul of traditional foot-pumping, it’s built around Portugal’s native Touriga Nacional grapes. Despite extended ageing in French and American oak barrels, the resulting complexity remains remarkably intense, hinting at the quinta’s century-old heritage. It’s a seriously rewarding wine, particularly with a hearty beef dish or a mature, hard cheese.
