This exceptionally rare Dão Clarete is a testament to the beautiful alchemy of nature and skilled winemaking. Crafted primarily from Touriga Nacional, alongside Aragonez and the quietly expressive Alfrocheiro, it’s allowed to slowly mature, unlocking the region’s full potential. The extended maceration, coupled with a patient 48 months in stainless steel, delivers a vibrant claret hue with hints of chestnut. Expect aromas of woodland, warm spices, and even a touch of truffle, beautifully rounded out by aged tobacco notes. It’s a remarkably smooth and elegant wine – perfect alongside a perfectly grilled fish with a hint of pepper, or a slow-roasted meat infused with fragrant herbs.
