This Touriga Franca from 100Hectares clearly took a little trip to France – a six-month maturation in oak barrels, to be precise. The result is a remarkably vibrant wine, bursting with red fruit intensity, yet retaining the characteristic elegance of the variety. The mouthfeel is seriously impressive, with tannins so subtle they almost whisper, ensuring a remarkably smooth and integrated finish. Seriously, it pairs beautifully with a hearty beef roast, or even a well-grilled fish to balance its power.
