Alcambar red wine is made from the grape varieties Marufo, Bastardo, Rufete, Jaen, and Tinta Amarela. It displays a ruby colour, a young, fresh red‑fruit aroma, and a palate that highlights freshness and soft tannins, resulting in a balanced and elegant finish. Adega do Fundão was founded in 1949 by 30 viticulturists from the Beira Interior region and is located in Cova da Beira, an area of vine cultivation that dates back to the 2nd century and the Roman settlements of that time. The vineyards are planted along the Serra da Gardunha, allowing the production of grapes that give the wines an unrivalled richness, freshness and exuberance.
