This Alpedrinha is a genuine time capsule. Crafted from the traditional Beira Interior grapes – Aragonez, Touriga Nacional, and Encruzado – and with roots stretching back to Roman times in Cova da Beira, it’s a wine promising a seriously concentrated experience. The ageing process, involving both stainless steel and French oak, alongside bottle maturation, beautifully balances the wine’s firm tannins with ripe, almost jam-like fruit and hints of wild herbs reminiscent of the Gardunha hills. Seriously, it’s fantastic with a hearty roast – don’t be intimidated by its heritage!
