“This AMB Monte is a delightful reminder that the Alentejo still holds a few surprises. Following careful hand-harvesting, a blend of Aragonez, Touriga Nacional, Syrah and Alicante Bouschet underwent a complete délestage, resulting in exceptionally vibrant fruit. A cool, three-day pre-fermentation maceration further highlighted the character of the grapes. The lengthy maturation – precisely two years in new 300L French oak barriques – imparts a wonderful complexity and elegance. It pairs beautifully with grilled beef or mushroom-based dishes, really showcasing the wine’s fresh fruit notes and lively acidity.”
