This wine, rooted in Aveleda’s distinctive xisto verde soils, demonstrates that stone doesn’t always need to be cold and austere. The sedimentary process, aided by the fissured nature of the soil – which encourages water absorption – yields a wine of substantial body and an astonishingly silky texture. It’s as if the rock itself is imparting a certain… tenacity. Quite brilliant with grilled beef, wouldn’t you agree?
