Brites Aguiar Agricultural Farm spans 200 hectares of fertile soil, spread across the slopes of the Rio Torto and the Ribeira de Galegos. Surrounded by the Dourado microclimate, each crop finds its preferred spot, as until the late 1960s the farm’s economic backbone was the olive grove. Over the years, cultivation has taken a back seat, prioritising the vineyard up to today. Other crops are still cultivated, but the focus remains on vine growing for wine production. The wines from Brites Aguiar Agricultural Farm are presented in the Bafarela and Brites Aguiar ranges, with the latter being the flagship of its portfolio, produced only in exceptional years.
