This white from Herdade da Calada in the Alentejo is certainly a surprise. Predominantly made with Antão Vaz, it delivers a wonderfully zesty acidity, perfect alongside grilled fish or fresh shellfish. Hints of Alicante Bouschet and Trincadeira add a welcome layer of complexity, with a surprising touch of Aragonez lending a subtle spice note – a genuinely bold expression from the producer.
