Description

Barroca da Malhada BRQA red is a blend of Trincadeira, Aragonês, Touriga Nacional, Baga and Alicante Bouschet, made in a artisanal style with hand harvesting, spontaneous fermentation and minimal intervention in the cellar. It is aged exclusively in stainless steel vats, which preserves a fresher, more direct profile. It shows an intense colour and a clean, expressive aroma, dominated above all by fresh red fruit. On the palate it is silky, balanced and approachable, designed for relaxed moments, where immediate pleasure and easy drinking are the key to this wine. Barroca da Malhada is an artisanal winery in the Beira Interior, rooted in a historic estate dating back to the Middle Ages that once belonged to the Viscounts of Tinalhas. With around five hectares of vineyards farmed organically and following biodynamic practices, it works schist-sandy soils of granitic origin in one of the most mountainous regions of Portugal.
