This “Bulls Temptation” from Cabeça de Toiro is no joke. It boasts a deep ruby colour, clearly having soaked up every wild berry from the Tejo river. The blackberry compote, paired with Syrah, immediately signals a complex and richly-structured wine. The generous body reveals intensely ripe fruit, with a hint of daring, and a toasted note – frankly, it makes me think of a perfectly cooked steak. A wine that’s rightly been awarded accolades, and a fantastic match for a hearty beef roast.
