This Cabriz Dão feels like it sprang straight from a fairytale, boasting a gorgeous ruby hue with violet whispers. The nose is dominated by the vibrant freshness of red berries, beautifully complemented by the silky smoothness imparted by 50% new French oak. Osvaldo Amado has masterfully achieved a remarkable balance and a lingering finish, perfect with delicately spiced fish or a slow-cooked beef. A well-deserved 90/100 from Wine Enthusiast (2016 & 2017 vintages) and a Gold at Sakura (2014) really cement its quality.
