Calda Bordaleza is a dark ruby‑colored wine with a dense aroma, crafted from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot grapes. In the mouth it offers a solid structure and a silky texture. It is lively, complex and concentrated yet fresh, with notes of red fruit, anise, balsamic, subtle chocolate, and a smooth, elegant toasty finish that lingers on a long aftertaste. A family that has been devoted to viticulture and winemaking for several generations. Today they cultivate 170 hectares across two estates in central Portugal: Quinta de São Mateus and Quinta de Vale de Azar. Their wines are produced under a philosophy that gives maximum respect to the grapes, relying almost exclusively on gravity throughout the entire vinification process and excluding any winemaking additives.
