This Cardial “Juta” Reserva is a lovely tribute to Dão tradition, blending Alfroucheiro, Aragonez and Touriga Nacional. The “Tinta Roriz” – essentially a Trincadeira – lends a wonderfully smooth texture, while the Alfroucheiro brings bright red fruit, reminiscent of a perfectly seasoned octopus. The Touriga Nacional ensures a lingering, complex finish, ideally paired with beef. Quite a noteworthy wine, having snagged a Decanter award, you know.
