Quinta do Crasto Denomination of Origin Douro. The Quinta do Crasto Touriga Nacional is a premium‑range wine, produced exclusively from Touriga Nacional grapes. It is bottled only in years that reach a high level of quality and excellence, and has been produced only in the following years: 2001, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021. Touriga Nacional is a particularly interesting variety in the Douro, bringing freshness and youthfulness to a region with a hot climate. Beyond its freshness, it stands out for its distinct aromatic profile, with obvious violet notes and a subtle menthol undertone that reinforces its natural vivacity. The variety achieves its best balance at medium and high elevations, away from the extreme heat of the lower zones. Quinta do Crasto owns two plots situated at about 300 m above sea level, with different exposures (east, south, west and north), allowing the oenology team to find, each year, the ideal balance for producing this wine. The 2021 vintage will be remembered for wines with excellent freshness, very fine aromas and silky‑textured tannins. A year of great elegance, with enormous potential for bottle evolution. **Vinification:** The grapes, sourced from the best Touriga Nacional blocks at Quinta do Crasto, were transported in 22‑kg crates and subjected to rigorous selection upon entering the cellar. After total de‑picking and gentle crushing, the must was transferred to stainless‑steel fermentation tanks with controlled temperature. At the end of alcoholic fermentation, a gentle pressing was performed. **Aging:** The Quinta do Crasto Touriga Nacional 2021 matured for 18 months in French oak barrels. Bottled in January 2024. **Technical Information:** - Vine age: planted in 1984 - Exposure: east, south, west and north - Altitude: 300 m - Canopy management: vines on 2‑row terraces - Total acidity: 5.2 g/L - pH: 3.66 - Residual sugar: 1.6 g/L - Winemaking: Cátia Barbeta and Manuel Lobo **Awards** *Quinta do Crasto Touriga Nacional 2020* - Best Wine of the Year – Wines of Portugal Competition (PT / 2025) - Best Red Varietal – Wines of Portugal Competition (PT / 2025) - Gold Grand Medal – Wines of Portugal Competition (PT / 2025) - 94/100 – Wine Advocate / Robert Parker (USA / 2024) *Quinta do Crasto Touriga Nacional 2019* - 97/100 + Platinum Medal – Decanter World Wine Awards (UK / 2024) - 92/100 – Wine Spectator (USA / 2024) - 17+/20 – Jancis Robinson (UK / 2024) - 19/20 – Grandes Escolhas Magazine (PT / 2024) - 92/100 – Wine Enthusiast (USA / 2024) - 94/100 – Revista de Vinhos (PT / 2023) - 96/100 – Wine Advocate / Robert Parker (USA / 2022) **Allergen Information** Contains sulfites.
