This Casa Américo, born from the legacy of Américo Seabra’s vision, truly captures the essence of the Dão region, particularly from the Serra da Estrela. Crafted from vines exceeding 50 years, grown in granite at over 600 metres, it delivers a remarkably fresh and elegant wine. The traditional *pisa a pé* fermentation, carefully monitored for temperature, beautifully expresses the interplay of the Alfrocheiro, Jaen, Tinta Roriz, Aragonez and Touriga Nacional grapes. Expect a deep ruby colour and vibrant notes of spiced red fruits. A wonderfully balanced wine with smooth tannins and a lingering finish – perfect alongside grilled beef or, perhaps, with a succulent pork dish featuring peach compote.
