We are looking at a producer that has risen from the ashes. He has come to stay and write a new chapter, yet the house’s history is ancient, dating back to the 19th century when it was built. Great wines were born here and in these vineyards – who can forget the P63, once vinified by José Maria da Fonseca? Fate left the property ‘abandoned’ to the wine world, preserving only a faint memory of the great wines that were produced there. The new owner, a person of good taste and extreme dedication to excellence, has taken up the mantle. Thus the new Casa da Passarella was born, ready to write a fresh chapter in the history of this house and the Dão region. The wines are excellent, crafted with rigor and an immense desire to do the best.
