We are looking at a producer who has risen from the ashes. He came to stay and write a new chapter, yet the house’s story dates back to the 19th century when it was founded. Great wines were born here and in its vineyards, including the famed P63, once vinified by José Maria da Fonseca. By chance it had been “abandoned” from the wine world, leaving only a faint memory of the great wines that emerged there. It also turned out that the new owner was a person of refined taste and extreme dedication to making and doing it well. Thus the new Casa da Passarella was born, to write a new chapter in this house’s history and in the Dão region. The wines are excellent, crafted with rigor and a strong desire to be the best.
