We’re faced with a producer who has risen from the ashes. He came to stay and write a new chapter, but the house’s history goes back to the 19th century when it was built. Great wines were born here and in these vines, like the famed P63 once vinified by José Maria da Fonseca. Destiny had left it “abandoned” to the wine world, leaving only a faint memory of those great wines. Now a new owner—people of good taste and extreme dedication—has taken over. Thus the new Casa da Passarella was born, ready to script another bold chapter for this house and the Dão region. The wines are excellent, crafted with rigor and a genuine desire to be the best.
