**Quinta d'Azinheira** Region: Baixo Corgo, Demarcated Douro Region (DDR) Quinta d'Azinheira produces wines at Azinheira, in Santa Marta de Penaguião, set in an amphitheatre of extraordinary beauty on the left bank of the Corgo River. The wines are made exclusively from grapes grown and tended on the estate, at an altitude of 300 to 400 metres. The soils are predominantly schist and very stony, characteristics that contribute to the expression and identity of the wines. **Winemaking:** The fresh grapes are hand-harvested into 20 kg crates and transported to the winery, where they undergo careful sorting, followed by destemming and pressing in a vertical press. The resulting must is settled in stainless steel tanks at 8 ºC for 48 hours. Alcoholic fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature of 12 ºC over a period of 30 days. This is followed by 8 months of ageing in new French oak barrels, in contact with fine lees. **Oenology:** Luís Leocádio **Analytical data:** Total Acidity: 7.3 g/L pH: 3.05 Residual Sugar: 0.1 g/L **Food pairing:** Ideal with rich fish, intensely flavoured shellfish and fine charcuterie. **Awards** Silver Medal – Vinduero 2025 (2024) Press Picks – Grandes Escolhas (2024) Highly Recommended – 92/100 – Revista de Vinhos (2024) **Allergen information** Contains sulphites.
